We’re Changing!

The last few months have seen expansion and change here at Clean Air-Cool Planet, as we continue our efforts to be the region’s best resource on climate solutions, action and collaboration.

In December, three new members joined our board of directors. Diana Macguire, whose background is in investment and finance, lives in Connecticut and is active in the foundation world. Also a Connecticut resident, Helen Sahi works as Managing Director for Corporate Environmental Affairs at FleetBoston Financial, and is also the president of the Environmental Bankers Association. And Bob Bechtold, owner of Harbec Plastics in Ontario, New York, is a leader in corporate and personal sustainability practices, including “super” energy efficiency and renewable technologies.

In January, CA-CP Executive Director Adam Markham and his family moved to Connecticut, to open a second CA-CP office. That office--permanent location still to be determined; it will be somewhere in Fairfield County--will be the base from which Adam, along with a new Development Director, will pursue more closely work with partners in the “southern tier” of our regional base, including Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

We also began projects with student interns from partner UNH, who are working on various communication and research projects in corporate, college and university, and municipal programs throughout this spring and summer.

CA-CP is excited to announce the establishment of its additional office, and very pleased to welcome our new board members, and interns. We look forward to the important new outcomes and leadership opportunities that will be the result of these ongoing changes! Stay tuned…
