CA-CP Partners with Roger Williams University

In October, Roger Williams University President Roy Nirschel signed a partner agreement with CA-CP, committing the Rhode Island liberal arts college of 3,000+ students to work on campus greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Director of Facilities, Dick Goulet, recently migrated to RWU from climate pioneer Tufts University, and will bring his expertise and perspective on institutional leadership on global warming to bear on Roger Williams' efforts. 10% Challenge Launched in Keene

educates launch-goers on the ins and outs
of saving energy and the climate.

CA-CP participated in the October launch event of Keene’s 10% challenge. Keene is the first Northeast community to follow up on the City of Burlington, Vermont’s successful educational campaign challenging citizens to reduce their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. This is one of a suite of municipal initiatives launched by the City of Keene, a CA-CP partner and City for Climate Protection, to reduce overall GHG emissions. Harvard Students Vote for Clean Energy

Windmill photoHarvard undergraduates have endorsed a $10 term-bill fee to support campus renewable energy purchases. The task now: convince the Faculty Council to move the measure forward. Learn more about their efforts in the Harvard Crimson.
