Did You Know?

"Report cards" for participants in the regional climate change action plan have been released by the New England Climate Coalition. CT and MA were given the highest grades of the six U.S. states involved, and Northeast leadership on the issue was recognized, but all of the marks were low enough to indicate a need for even greater efforts. (NY and NJ were not rated since they were not signatories to the 2001 New England Goverbors/Eastern Canadian Premiers Climate Action Plan.)

Electricity pollution offsets for the Democratic National Convention to be held in Boston at the end of July are being generated primarily by the Hull, Massachusetts, wind turbine, in conjunction with several other renewable power projects.
