Speak Your Piece
The Carbon Coalition is back, emphasizing local climate action and asking once and future candidates visiting NH for global warming leadership.
For the best way to stay in the loop, check out their new blog The Political Climate - and don't hold back!
Climate Symposium CA-CP's Adam Markham joined Al Gore, Bill McKibben, UNH's Cameron Wake and Cornell's David Wolfe, among others, as a speaker at the New York Botanical Garden's "Climate Change: Prospects for Nature" symposium on September 15.

Renewables Rock
An '80s rock anthem set us straight: "Rock and roll ain't noise pollution." More and more contemporary artists are making sure it isn't air pollution either.
USA Today and the Christian Science Monitor write about bands going green - many, like the Dave Matthews Band, with CA-CP and our partner NativeEnergy.
Now YOU can be a rock star for a day - or at least, drive like one - carbon free, with CoolDriver.

This fall, the very busy members of our Northeast Science Center Collaborative are gearing up for the launch of the Cool It! Challenge, a competition for middle- and high-school students in CT; testing out renewable energy teaching tools through the Clean Energy Climate Solutions project; and hosting many programs to educate science center staff members and guests about climate change. Learn how to plug in to these efforts at your local science centers at the Collaborative website.
It's back to school in style for the members of the Campus Climate Challenge, who are catalyzing youth leadership to solve global warming within a generation. CA-CP, as a coalition partner of the Challenge, is contributing with a new version of our Campus Carbon Calculator, to be released this month. Learn more about the growing momentum for campus carbon neutrality, what CA-CP is doing, and what YOU can do, at our website.
CA-CP is working with partner communities, including Portland, ME, Concord, NH and Pittsburgh, PA, to complete greenhouse gas inventories with the assistance of student interns this fall. We also, with the help of NH-based Jeffrey Taylor and Associates, just launched a new Community Toolkit, featuring step-by-step project guides, sample ordinances, financing mechanisms and other important information that will help local officials implement community climate initiatives.
In August, CA-CP helped organize a panel of experts - from 1% for the Planet, Whole Foods, and the University of NH - for a post-movie discussion of An Inconvenient Truth. This free community showing hosted by The Timberland Company packed the house at the Portsmouth, NH, Music Hall. We've posted audience questions and panelist responses on our website.
