Renewable Energy In Action - "Touring" a Campus Wind Turbine
On August 31, Clean Air–Cool Planet in collaboration with the MA State Sustainability Program sponsored a tour of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s 660 KW campus wind turbine, installed just this past spring. This provided an excellent opportunity for MA state agencies and campuses to visit a state site that has gone through the permitting, design and construction process for a large wind turbine as well as to experience for themselves issues around noise, aesthetics, and placement.
