The Arctic is experiencing rapid warming and melting, and new science indicates that this process will likely produce profound affects for the rest of the globe in the coming decades.

To bring the latest science and information about those impacts to communities around the country, Clean Air-Cool Planet has teamed up with the Royal Norwegian Embassy to create a series of events examining rapidly accelerating changes in the Arctic and the range of serious impacts states and local communities could face in the years ahead.

Ambassador with Mariel Nanansi, Director of New Energy Economy, and our key partner

These climate seminars include the Ambassador, a scientist from Norway to present the latest findings on loss of sea ice, receding glaciers, and warming air and water in the Arctic, a scientist to describe expected impacts in the states and regions where the seminars are held, and a policy expert to explore with participants options for taking action to address carbon emissions.

Cities visited to date include Racine, WI; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Richmond, VA; Cleveland, OH; Grand Forks, ND; Santa Fe, NM; Bozeman, MT; and Billings MT.
